Yvette's journey to become a woman had already been far beyond anything she'd ever expected. Allying with pirates, aiding fae, speaking with leviathans were all paths she never believed she'd travel. Now having died and been reborn as a phoenix, she finds herself struggling to maintain her own mind, to keep the mage she was in balance with the phoenix she now is and, hopefully, find a way to become herself again. Unfortunately, that will likely only be half the battle as there are more dangerous things than a throne-hungry prince.
